Personal Care

When daily personal care become hard for you to manage alone, we can assist you with tasks such as showering, bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing and undressing, mobility, shaving, oral care and more.

Domestic & Gardening Assistance

Maintaining your home and garden could be challenging and unsafe at times. We can assist you keep your home clean and safe. Our care workers can help with everyday chores such as general household cleaning, laundry and ironing, bed making, changing linen and more.
We can maintain your garden so you can enjoy it safely.
We can also organise spring cleaning, window and gutter cleaning so you don’t have to stress.

Meal Preparation

A healthy well-balanced meal is essential for your wellbeing. We encourage our participants to practice nutritious eating habits that are sustainable for a healthy happy life. We have trained care workers who can assist you in meal preparations that meet your unique dietary needs.
Cooking can be fun activity to bring out your creativity and provides a sense of achievement. At IHA we encourage our participants to get involved with out care workers to learn culinary skills and create meals together.

Shopping & Transport Assistance

Transport is an important part of everyday life. It is an important factor to enable social and economic participation for people regardless of their age; whether to access the community, medical appointments, social and spiritual needs, or to run errands.
If you can no longer drive or have mobility issues our care workers can provide you with transport to set you up for freedom and independence.

Respite Services & Community participation

Growing old does not mean you should limit how you wish to live your life. At IHA we support and encourage social inclusion, making new connections and exploring new opportunities. Remaining socially associated is similarly as significant for our wellbeing as physical exercise and diet. Studies show that we flourish with social participation.
Not indulging in community participation can result in sentiments of bitterness or discouragement, which thus can prompt poor mental and physical wellbeing.
We can care for you whilst your care giver takes some time for themselves knowing you are in safe hands.

Allied Health Services

IHA always works with your allied health team to design your unique care plan. As your care needs evolve, we make referrals to allied health professionals to get the best care for your changing needs.
Our registered nursing staff can help you plan your care, manage and administrate medications, wound care, change catheters, injury management and post hospital care

Dementia Care & Alternative Therapies

Caring for loved ones with Dementia could be challenging and stressful for your family. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you should turn to a professional who can provide therapies that enhance the quality of life for the person living with Dementia.
We are specialised in providing Dementia care for all stages of Dementia who are still living at home. As the person’s Dementia progresses you are likely to need help from professionals who can provide alternative therapies to manage behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
We offer a wide range alternative therapies for dementia care that help our clients maintain quality of life so that Aging in Place remains possible.

Diversional Therapy & Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)

Our Diversional Therapist works with our participants to provide opportunities to engage in leisure and recreation activities which promote positive health outcomes and personal achievement. Activities are designed to support, challenge and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individuals. All health and leisure programs are designed in consultation with the participant, their primary carers and the allied health team to achieve the best possible outcome for the participant.
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) and Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (ICST)
CST has been found to significantly benefit the memory and thinking skills of most people with memory loss and mild to moderate dementia and brain injuries. At IHA, we have care workers trained to offer ICST to better engage with individuals they provide care to. ICST also enhances the bond and interactions between the care worker and the person they care for.

TACVE has been designed to give you complete transparency around your service schedule and also includes specific access to care notes and two-way feedback.
This easy-to-use smartphone application with real-time updates puts you and your loved ones in control of the delivery of your care.
As a participant with IHA you have access to:
  • Real-time access to your schedule
  • Real time access to when a support worker is onsite
  • Two way feedback system
Accountability is key – and it goes both ways. IHA’s two-way feedback system has long helped ensure both clients and Support workers uphold certain standards by requiring feedback.That’s why we have added option to feedback in the TACVE app.
