Charan Walia

General Manager

Charan is the Sole Director and General Manager of In Home Assistance. Charan holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and a Masters in Science (Hons by research) and has developed skills in front line leadership, financial and resource management.
Previously Charan has managed Home Care Assistance – Sth Yarra. Charan has built a sustainable and operational business. Not only maintaining financial best practices, but ensuring high level client focused best practices, compliance and governance.
Charan has managed pathology services on both state and national levels. In these roles, he applied his finance and business skills to build and implement strong business practices, to successfully grow these organisations. Responsible for the strategic operations, staff development, customer relationships, financial and operational KPIs, WHS, financial reporting and continuous quality improvement, he worked collaboratively to provide consistency of services to customers.

Menaka Friend

Relationship Manager
Menaka Eranthi is a qualified Diversional Therapist, who holds a Diploma in Leisure and Health. Menaka has over twenty-two (25) years client focused care experience, with over 6 years (>6) years specifically in aged care. During this time, Menaka has gained and developed skills in client assessment, care plan management and development and family liaison. This experience also includes extensive knowledge in geriatric care and acute care patients.
Menaka has continued to learn and further develop her skills and experience through ongoing learning. She has Certificates in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Dementia care, understanding dementia, providing care for people with dementia and prevention of Dementia. Customer Contact, Emergency First Aide and Dementia and Recreation. Menaka has also undertaken professional development in a number of areas including, LGBT Training, Cultural Diversity, Emotional intelligence, Food handling, Planned Activity Group, State government Client incident Management system and Incident reporting and safety and Music Therapy and Dementia.
Menaka is currently undertaking further studies in Bachelor in Dementia Care and CST Training (Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) and Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management.

Sanjiv Kumar

Service Manager

Sanjiv Kumar brings a wealth of expertise to his role as the Service Manager at In Home Assistance. With a Diploma in Community Welfare Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Sanjiv combines his knowledge of healthcare and community services to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to clients.

His professional journey encompasses diverse experiences, including a stint as a marketing executive in the pharmaceutical industry and working in pathology. Additionally, Sanjiv served as an operational manager in a logistic company, where he prioritized safety measures and achieved weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Sanjiv’s dedication to community welfare and his multifaceted background contribute to his effectiveness in managing services at In Home Assistance. His focus on safety and commitment to meeting operational goals make him a valuable leader in the organization.
